1. we had to Create a kowhaiwhai using this template rotate the koru to create your repeating pattern
2. we had to Change the background to colors that you think represent Tānerore and or summer
my one was about how summer can do or be anything random or planned and that was why my one looks like that and experiments with the patterns and different things I can do with it to make it cooler so I think this was great
Hi Kalani, It is me Katelyn.
ReplyDeleteI like that you have put lots of time into this pattern. You did succecd of trying to make it look cooler. I like the rainbow background. Maybe next time you could write capitals at the start of a sentence.
Kia Ora Kalani,
ReplyDeleteI thought this activity was very interesting as it teaches you about Tānerore who you are able to see often on these hot summer days and about the infamous kowhaiwhai pattern seen throughout Māori culture. Have you seen the kowhaiwhai pattern before maybe at a marae or museum?
Wow! You have created a very bold and bright pattern, I love how big and bright it is with the beautiful rainbow background and your meaning for this pattern is lovely with the random and/or planned activities of summer represented in your kowhaiwhai.
I would like to know more about what patterns you have used, are there koru shapes in there, mangopare shapes? What patterns did you use?
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates
